Depends on what you mean by the original. The "Origins" flash with the full scene intro uses that scene because it happens to be the one leading up to the still image used in the actual original flash.
The black and white version of Megumi was drawn by Mike, who made the very first flash, and was based off of a screenshot he had seen. He had lost the original image and didn't know the show, so in the beginning, we didn't even know who the character was.
I'm glad I didn't miss the spooky treat, it's great!
